Like all Newmen Evolution SL components, this rim is constructed from high-strength aluminium alloy for outstanding mechanical properties combined with a low weight. The flared flanges make it particularly hard-wearing against dents and deformation whilst keeping the tyre rounder for more cornering grip. Materials are deployed precisely at critical points and shaved off elsewhere. The flat spoke bed is designed to work with our special washers for extremely high spoke tension values whilst keeping the amount of material used down to a minimum. In contrast, the flanges are substantially thicker than on other rims in the same weight class for added strength and durability. It's the perfect rim for a fast, lightweight yet comfortable wheelset ideal for XC and marathon to trail riding and everything in between.
